I'm not sure why I wanted to start a blog other than my cousin has a blog and I enjoy reading hers. She lives out of town and it makes keeping up on what's going on much easier. I also see that it is an awesome way to keep a bit of a timeline to look back and see what you have done, been through, or accomplished.
I guess now is as good a time as any to start this blog as there are some exciting changes happening in my life. Here are a few just to get the ball rolling...
1. I was fired from my job at CenturyLink on September 26. I am not ashamed, nor do I feel bad about losing my job. I feel I did my job to the best of my ability by my moral standards. I was essentially fired for not making my sales quota. Could I have made my sales quota?....yes.....if I added things you did not ask for on your account, or talk you into some product you don't really want, need or can afford. As soon as I knew my job was in jeopardy I decided that I needed a plan for the future as I did not want to live the CenturyLink life any longer.
2. The plan for the future? College! After a lot of stress and worry about how to pay for school, my financial aid for the Spring semester came through and I will start classes at Edgecombe Community College in January. Preregistration is Monday....I am scared but excited! If all goes well, I will start Respiratory Therapy classes in the fall.
Well, that is about all I have today AND it is time to take a very good smellin' Shrimp and Crab Lasagna out of the oven!
